Infrared cameras translate the warmth signatures of objects into shades on a gradient scale, with higher temperatures showing as lighter colours, and lessen temperatures and moist locations appearing as darker shades.  Also called thermal imaging and thermography, IR engineering captures the light that exists just outside the obvious spectrum.  T
